“Dense ruby/purple, with notes of sweet black cherries, currants, licorice, seaweed, and graphite, the wine is full-bodied, dense, and impressively long. I am not sure whether this will replace or supplement the Vieilles Vignes cuvee, which is one of the more singular wines of Chateauneuf du Pape. Nevertheless, it has 20-25 years of aging potential.“
